About Owen

Owen Hartley is the Reviews Editor at TonicNest. Owen holds no medical, nursing or nutrition credentials and does not give medical advice. The role is narrower and, for most shoppers, more useful: working out whether a supplement that costs $49 to $69 a bottle gives you anything a cheaper product does not.

Each review follows the same order. Owen finds the full Supplement Facts panel, divides the price by the number of servings, and compares the dose of each key ingredient with what NIH and NCCIH fact sheets describe. Claims about special forms, better absorption or clinical dosing are checked against the studies they cite and against FTC guidance on what counts as proof. Quality seals are looked up by name. Then come the refund window, the return shipping rules and any auto-ship terms, read line by line, because that is where a premium offer can cost the most.

Owen does not personally buy, take or lab-test the products reviewed here, and each review says what was and was not checked. Sources are linked and dated. When a seller changes a price, a formula or a refund policy, the review is updated. When a reader spots an error, our editor corrects it and adds a dated note. The goal is simple: before you pay a premium, you should know what the premium buys.

What Owen checks in every review

  • Amount per serving of each active ingredient
  • Cost per serving and per day at every bundle price
  • Claims about special forms and better absorption
  • "Clinically dosed" and "clinically proven" wording
  • Independent seals such as USP, NSF and ConsumerLab.com
  • Refund window, return shipping and auto-ship terms
