To calculate BMI, divide your weight in kilograms by your height in meters squared. In US units, divide pounds by inches squared and multiply by 703. Someone 5 feet 9 inches tall who weighs 150 pounds has a BMI of 22.1. For adults, 18.5 to 24.9 is the healthy range, 25 to 29.9 is overweight and 30 or more is obesity.
